Mwaleshi Camp is located in North Luangwa national park in eastern Zambia.

This rustic bushcamp is operated by Remote Africa Safaris, so is most commonly visited in combination with their main base at Tafika Camp in South Luangwa.

Mwaleshi is a genuinely earthy camp, basic in some repects, but with the kind of nice touches and great hosting that one would expect of a safari company of this stature.

The camp concentrates primarly on walking safari, with guests needing to be willing and able to walk 4 to 6 hours each day. Close encounters with large game are a distinct possibility, including lion and elephant. The camp is only open for the dry season Jun/Oct and the usual stay duration is 4 to 5 nights.

Mwaleshi Camp tends to appeal to serial safari travellers who are keen to get that little bit further away from civilisation and are content to spend quality, relaxed time in the bush without necessarily encountering huge volumes of game.
